  • HEIDI PROJECT
    LIVE DOCUMENTARY

    Directed by: Adrien Faucheux

With: Alessandra Celesia e Adélys. Music: Adélys

“I was born and raised in the Alps of Val d’Aosta. I am an Italian Heidi. Like the cartoon heroine, I left the mountain for the city. Not Frankfurt in my case, but Paris. There, just like Heidi did, I broke down; I had lost sight of what gave meaning to my life. To understand the inner mechanism of this pain, I decided to leave for a journey along with a female musician. Together, we went in search of what makes us the adults that we have become.” (A. Celesia) Heidi Project is the outcome of three factors joined together: sequences from a documentary, music, and storytelling. Alessandra Celesia and Adélys take us on a long journey in search of inner peace.

A project supported by Comptoir du Doc (Hors Format) and the Cinémathèque française du documentaire. Event organized in collaboration with Film Commission Val d’Aosta.

2018 Thursday, November 8, Istituto Francese, 6pm | Italian Language

  • POPOLI VR
    Il reale del virtuale

Festival dei Popoli and Gold Enteprise, with the collaboration of the Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini, present Popoli VR – Il reale del virtuale, a selection of VR documentaries from all over the world. The works discuss a variety of themes: each of them is a unique experience that, however, can be repeated in a different way, changing the viewer’s angle, or the user’s responsibility, or the form of storytelling. Which perspectives and which opportunities become available with VR for narratives of the real? How many stories can we tell? How many experiences can we live?

  • SETTEPONTI WALKABOUT

Directed by: Gianfranco Bonadies, Gianpaolo Capobianco , Michele Sammarco, Valeria Tisato
Along the Setteponti Road, an infinitely layered territory, an entire world is dying. Its last signs are unmistakable; at the same time, from them new realities take shape to build a new world. From this waning world of peasants to the memories of World War II, between horror and tears, up to the realities that are thriving there today between ancient traditions and budding practices, the story plays out through these three chapters. An interactive journey between documentary film, animation, illustration, sound design, and archival materials in different media introduces us to the stories of the Setteponti Road, one of the most fascinating and most significant itineraries located between Florence and Arezzo, Tuscany, Italy.

2018 Friday, November 9th, Mediateca Regionale Toscana, 4:00pm - Free Entrance
