    As part of the filming for the documentary Qui on the fight in Val di Susa against the high speed railways between Turin and Lyon, in the summer of 2012, I met Luca Rastello to collect his precious testimony about the events of the Valley and its journey , sometimes picaresque but always lucid and meticulous , he had done a few months earlier from Lisbon to Kiev.

    The portrait of a peasant family in Kenya in March when in the past there would be heavy rainfall. The head of the family Kisilu confides his anguish to the camera as in a dairy. We live day after day waiting for the rain, the slow growth of the shoots in his millet field. An intimate and touching view of the daily struggle against climate change.

    Directed by: Pierre Courthion e Isabelle Rouault
    Georges Henri Rouault, French painter, was trained at the Ecole des Beaux -Arts, where he was the favorite pupil of Gustave Moreau and where he met, among the others, Henri Matisse. He participated in major public exhibitions in which he exhibited mainly religious subjects, landscapes and still lifes. In 1907 he executed a series of paintings dedicated to clown, Pierrot and prostitutes. The Spiritualism of his works made him one of the major painter of religious art of the twentieth century.

    “A house is your roots: an intimate, personal relationship. […]”
    A precious and rare film realized in the early Eighties to be seen as posthumous work. For Visita ou Memórias e confissões, Manoel de Oliveira filmed his home in Oporto, in Rua Vilarinha, that he had designed and built by modernist architect José Porto. It was his family home for forty years, since he married until he was forced to sell it. Visita is an autobiographical work revolving around private memories and confessions, including the touching re-enactment of his arrest by Salazar’s political police in 1963.
