An extremely talented musician, a performer with an alluring charisma and a magnetic scenic presence, an unrelenting human rights activist, a supporter of the Panafrican movement, a fearless revolutionary spirit: Fela Kuti (1938-1997) was, over his entire career and life, one of the loudest voices of an Africa fired up by anti-colonial movements and rebellions against dictatorships. This biography is matched with the video shootings performed during the rehearsals of FELA!, the Musical, which had its debut in Broadway in 2009 achieving an extraordinary success.

The film documents the aftermath of the flooding of Florence in November 1966: the devastation of the city by water and mud; the arrival of the first aid from nearby towns and soldiers, the artistic, cultural and economic damage, the work carried out spontaneously by young people, especially at the National Library. The commentary, written by Vasco Pratolini is read by Giorgio Albertazzi.

Last Hijack originates from the combination of documentary and animation. The film protagonists are a group of Somali pirates and their charismatic leader, Mohamed. For years, these men have been risking their own lives and the lives of others by attacking oil tankers off the Horn of Africa. Today, Mohamed’s life is at a crossroads: on the one hand, his imminent wedding pushes him to lead a peaceful life; on the other hand, the “boarding fever” is still burning in him. The action scenes are portrayed through spectacular animated sequences drawn by Hisko Hulsing.

Le beau danger is a cinematic arrangement of documentary footage and literary writing of the Romanian author Norman Manea. His writing runs through the film in one hundred and seventy black-and-white panels. In the course of the film, these "readable images" constantly interrupt the cinematic picture and challenge the viewer to seek a text behind the text. -

He was the link between the rock music of the seventies and the glam-metal and punk scene until 1991, the year of his mysterious death allegedly by overdose. The film reveals us the true Johnny Thunders, beyond the reputation of a ‘damned rocker’, through interviews with friends and colleagues and numerous and unpublished archive material.

In Paris, Ossama Mohammed, far from his troubled and horrified homeland, reflects on the videos from Syria that are posted every day on the Internet. What is pushing the young rebels to take a camera and film the death and the destruction surrounding them? What is pushing Hassan’s soldiers to film the beatings, the humiliation and the tortures to their prisoners? The communication with Simav, a young Kurdish woman living in Homs, becomes an intense and strong exchange of messages. Two friends holding their hands encouraging each other to bear this horror, to survive.
The film will be commented by Domenico Quirico (Correspondant for "La Stampa")

The river Arno was the reason for the birth of Florence, its lifeblood, the main way for transports, the driving force of its industries. But it is also a symbol of the city, with its bridges, the buildings and streets that surround it: the Lungarni. Maldarno tells a deep bond, a "disease" that ties closely the Florentine people to their river.

2014 marks the twentieth anniversary of the genocide of Tutsis in Rwanda. Over 800,000 victims in just three months, while the West closed the eyes. Since then, the new political regime has promoted a strong policy of reconciliation but the memory of the massacre is still very much alive in the collective memory. Between August 2013 and February 2014 Giordano Cossu crossed the country several times, meeting and talking with the Rwandan from rural areas in an attempt to give voice to that memory.
