    France/Italy 2010 83'
    Directed by: Gianfranco Rosi
Juarez, just shy of the United States border. In a hotel room, seen a thousand times in American genre movies, one of the most lucid and chilling testimonies in the history of cinema unfolds. Covering his face with a veil, a man tells the story of his life, a life devoted to crime, which costs thousands of lives in Mexico every year. In great detail, journalist Charles Bowden compiles an intricate report on killing in the name of drugs.

  • I AM JESUS

    Italy 2010 75'
Directed by: Valerie Gudenus, Heloisa Sartorato
A community of farmers in Siberia, a group of squatters in England, a group of single women in Brazil. These parallel worlds revolve around three different figures with one thing in common: the belief that they’re Jesus Christ. Following these three religious leaders and the lives of their disciples, "I am Jesus" examines the need for spiritual guidance, the need to belong to a community, and the demand for answers to the meaning of the human condition.

    Italy 2010 66'
    Directed by: Giovanni Buccomino
Cutting out from the dynamics of discord and production in modern Italy, a group of people decides to withdraw into voluntary exile in Sardinia’s Valle della Luna, a part of the world forgotten by time. In winter, life goes on without too many problems. But once summer arrives, the latent contradictions surface for these utopian dreamers, who find themselves faced with unforeseen problems.

  • ORO SPLENDENTE – RITORNO IN CAMBOGIA
Shining Gold - Back to Cambodia

    Italy 2010 60'
    Directed by: Giovanni Donfrancesco
Even after starting a family and life in Italy, a man from far away continues to be haunted by the wounds of his past. The man left Cambodia twenty-five years ago, after the massacres of Pol Pot’s regime; now, years later, he relives the time he fled his country. The camera follows him on a voyage that proves, once again, returning is fundamentally impossible.

  • TRA TERRA E CIELO

    Italy 2010 68'
    Directed by: Joseph Péaquin
The forests of the Aosta Valley are constantly visited by people aware of the importance of natural medicine. The healing properties of roots, leaves, flowers and herbs have been significant since ancient times, and such knowledge comes from direct contact with nature. Besides documenting the stages of preparing medicinal herbs, the film launches a larger discussion about illness and cures.
